Due to harassment above and beyond the call of duty, is everyone across the U.S. interested in investigating joining a nation-wide Class Action Suit against BOTH Calvary Portfolio Services AND the organizations that knowingly and willfully sold their alleged "bad debt" to Calvary Portfolio?

If so, please post back here, and check back soon for details on options for how we can permanently stop any and all abusive financial practices!

As citizens of the United States of America, it is time for us to stand up and send an extremely strong message to all bad organizations, as well as to each and every one of their employees. I say, Pink Slips for all of them!

It's not only time to act, it's time to Class-Act! Stay tuned...

I'm no lawyer. Calvary Portfolio Services aren't going to change

because you are mad at them.

If you are sure of your position,

your state attorney general's office might help if you haven't

contacted a lawyer first.

Don't forget, there is the "Fair debt

collection practices act" & the "Fair debt reporting act." A thousand

dollars for each provable violation. Just remember it is easier to defend than prosecute!

I was looking to get a judgment vacated by a company called NCO Portfolio Recovery LLC, and found they sold the debt to Calvary Portfolio. Then a consent order from the Consumer Financial Bureau popped up and lo and behold, NCO was prohibited from selling this debt due to fraudulent practices.

Practices such as asking for default court judgments, unsupported documentation and time-barred cases. They were assessed fines and told to vacate any judgments for the period of 2009 through 2012.Check with the CFPB for consent order 2015-CFPB-0023

I'm wondering if the letter my daughter received has any correlation to Target credit cards etc being breached. I've posted that we should address the Feds & Media .

Class action suits take forever. Let's get them indicted for RACKATERRING ! Let's get Loud till someone hears us. Florida contact Charlie Crist candidate for Governor.

Call your political candidates as they want to be elected. This is too much! I'm sure folks have become ill from Calvary& their Cohorts. We have got to get assertive & aggressive .

Get on your phones ,Email everyone till action is taken. I have replied numerous times today cuz the more I read the more upset I'm getting !

I am being sued by them in Washington state for a debt that IF it exists was incurred by my ex-husband and is time-barred!!

Is it too late to sign up for a class-action suit? I, too, had been a victim of these nasty people.

They just put a lien on my house, even though I have Homestead protection. I trully need help.

They couldn't show any documents, but they were able to put a lien. Sham on them

I am being sued by them in Michigan now, so I am definitely interested in a class action.

those idiots at cavary bought an account for the balance on a pickup truck that was repossessed over 4 years ago when I was forced out of my job as a trucker due to disabilities sustained in a multi vehicle pileup, According to 3 different lawyers I am "Judgement Proof" in this matter due to being on social security and disability, the calls started and as I was attempting to camly explain to the *** caller that I was judgement proof he began talking over me and being rude, I hope they paid alot for the account, because they lost money

I have dutifully been paying my car loan on time for four years. I only had 3-4 late payments.

I just found out that my car loan was sold to these people and I have no contract with them.

If there is a class action law suit please contact me.

i will become very actively involved as now we are indebted to a collection agency, because our car loan place went bankrupt over night. I am soo pissed, I have no legal contract with them whatsoever and I cant believe this.

I think a class action suit needs to be filed against these crazy people. They keep calling MY house trying to reach someone ELSE -- I guess I was listed as a reference.

Anyway, when I won't give them that person's phone number - which hasn't changed in the last 10 years-- they proceed to yell at me and tell me I am her, that I need to take care of this "matter".

I got a call from them yesterday and tried calling the police while they were on the phone, but the hung up!! They are insane!!

I need information on how to start a class action lawsuit against calvary portfolio in california. My account is way pass 7 years old and I believe if I'm not mistaking this account was filed and discharged in bankruptcy court back in 1992 but continues to haunt me.

They have justed levyed my bank account and I have not received letter, warning or anything! This is crazy. I need help asap.

They took everything in my account, which included my rent and utilities. How can they do that?

If you are being sued by Cavalry, know that you are just a name and dollar amount on a spreadsheet to them. They bought your debt for pennies on the dollar, if you ask for substantiation they won't have it.

Only 3% of the people harrassed by collection agencies contest in court. But 90% of those who contest have the entire thing thrown out. Retain an attorney who specializes in bankruptcy and collection lawsuits.

I consulted Consumer Law Center in San Jose, CA, it cost me a little over $1500 and saved me more than $5,000. I am happy to pay the legal fee - would much rather give my hard earned money to lawyers who fight for the rights of the consumers than hand it over to the shysters and snakes at Cavalry, LLC.

WV has a class action suit in the Cout right now.

Is anyone SERIOUSLY considering getting a class action suit against these predators?

Guest

I need about 20 people, name, addresses, phones to file a class action suit on these clowns. However, if you have admitted the debt (for any reason), or already in an agreement to pay, your are on your own.

The people I need are those that dont recognize their debt, they have written to these clowns asking for all details in support of their claims, Calvary continues collection efforts, they have been incorrectly contacted (debt may belong to another person). We then can use the FTC to file a class-action or we can do that thru a good lawyer.

Send info to justafriend110153@***.com. Thanks

Started getting phone calls 3-4 times a day. Then they started calling my husband on his cell phone.

They asked for me by my first name only. This sent a red flag up to my husband and he called me all upset thinking i was having an affair. They never told him who they were or that they were a collection agency. I called them and after a whole day of back and forth we decided to settle on $2,000.00 I did have some conditions though.

First i wanted some proof of who they were and just not two guys sitting in there apt. making phone calls. They sent me a hand written fax, that didnt even have my address on it. When i called and let them know that was not anything that i would accept i got transfered to his "Manager" who i asked if he was just the guy in the next room.

When i informed him that i would like a certified letter stating that once i paid this amount to them that my account would be settled, he went BONKERS on me. Telling me that i was going over the top, being totaly unreasonable, and that i should just give him my checking number and take care of it. I then told him to go jump in the lake. Thats when he started in with "well then we will just sue u and see how you like that" I told to go right ahead and hung up.

That was a month ago and the phone calls have started back up againn. This time its a women telling me that i need to call her TODAY!

and they keep using my name like it makes her more of a threat. These people are *** and i would rather declare bankruptcy then pay them one red cent!!
